Lifetime Achievement Award
Ennio Morricone
One of the greatest composers to have ever worked, Morricone contributed countless classic Spaghetti Western scores in the 1960s. He also did great work outside that genre for decades to come such as in Gillo Pontecorvo's classic 1966 film The Battle of Algiers, Terrence Malick's 1978 film Days of Heaven and John Carpenter's 1982 creature feature The Thing. For his essential and inimitable contribution to the art of film, I proudly present Mr. Morricone with a lifetime achievement Drew.
